How it works

How we figure it out.

A place for people in nonprofits, every role, every level, to learn how to use AI safely and effectively. We meet monthly to show what we tried and share what works.

A gathering, start to finish

  1. 1

    Arrive & say hi

Name tags, coffee, meet a few people before we start.

  2. 2

    Welcome + the rules

A quick hello and the three ground rules.

  3. 3

    Show & tell

A few people share something they tried with AI, ~5 minutes each.

  4. 4

    Open conversation

Keep talking, compare notes, find people to figure things out with.

The three rules

01

No selling, no pitching

We're here to learn from each other, not to be sold to or recruited. Everyone's on the same footing.

02

Show what you tried

Bring something real, a tool, a workflow, a prompt, a win or a flop. Honest examples beat theory and hype.

03

Mission first, used safely

AI in service of your mission and the people you serve, used thoughtfully and responsibly.

Questions

What happens at a gathering?
A few people show something they've been trying with AI, a tool, a workflow, a prompt, a success or a stumble, about 5 minutes each, then open conversation. No slides, no selling.
Who is it for?
Anyone who works in or around a nonprofit and wants to use AI more safely and effectively, every role and level, technical or not. Program staff, leaders, ops folks, volunteers, and yes, the occasional engineer.
Do I need to be technical?
Not at all. Most of us aren't engineers. If you're curious about using AI well for your mission, you belong here.
Is it free?
Yes. It runs on volunteers, mission-aligned venue partners, grants, and donations, not corporate sponsorship or ticket sales.
