Code of conduct

A short, plain set of standards that keep our rooms safe, honest, and builder-first.

The short version

Be kind, be honest, and keep the room for the people doing the work. Share what you tried, not a sales pitch. No selling, no recruiting. Mission first, whatever your role or level.

We expect everyone to

  • Treat others with respect, across all backgrounds and experience levels.
  • Give honest, generous feedback on each other's work.
  • Keep it honest, show what actually worked, and what didn't.
  • Make space for newcomers and first-timers, technical or not.

We don't tolerate

  • Harassment, discrimination, or demeaning behavior of any kind.
  • Sales pitches, recruiting, or using the room primarily to sell.
  • Sharing others' unpublished work or personal information without consent.
  • Anything that makes the room feel unsafe or unwelcoming.

Reporting

If something crosses a line, tell an organizer at the event or email hello@aifornonprofits.community. We take every report seriously and will respond promptly and confidentially. Organizers may remove anyone from an event or the community for conduct that violates these standards.
